June 22, 2010: Lady Gaga's Music Video: Alejandro
When I first watched this music video, I was turned on, shocked and also a bit confused. But the more times I have watched it, I have come to like it and started to learn the dance moves.
But I have been on messages boards and other blogs that review this music video, and many of them are calling this offensive and hated this music video because its confusing and don't make sense.
But I kinda understand it, and the only thing that I have a problem with is other then the swallowing of the rosary, is the that the tone and color is darker then what the song sounds like.
What I mean by this, the song title, names and the the type of music all seems to call out Mexican and exotic. The music video is more WWII, colder and more like military.
There are many beautiful shots and sequences such as;
-Lady Gaga holding the heart with pins in it and what looks like chains while walking in front of a coffin which I'm guessing is Alejandro
-Lady Gaga watching the boys from her window, wearing futuristic opera glasses and a Elizabethan futuristic crown.
-The Dance sequence of the shirtless men dancing while Lady Gaga is watching. one of the best ones looks like two guys dancing a tango. Hot Hot Hot
-The whole sexual/bedswaping scene. Hot even for lady gaga who sports a bowl haircut.
-Her white religious outfit robe and sleek hairstyle. Hot again.
-The black and white dance segment where she danced in a black pantsuit was awesome.
-The sequence where lady gaga gets tossed around by a whole bunch of men like almost like a gang rape, while the men in the background are groping each other and acting sexual. It was hot and nasty. (Though I don't condone rape, lets make that perfectly clear.)
Overall the music video was great, but if I did it my way. I would have have more exotic, bright with lots of eye candy. And I mean EYE CANDY, such as half-naked men cavorting around in tight speedos, groping each other in a homo-erotic manner. Of course, Lady Gaga will be in between the boys singing about how she doesn't love them anymore.
A friend of mine suggested that he thought that Alejandro should been done in Burlesque manner. When he said this, I could see the music video. It would be dark, and very exotic. It would be about how she is striping at a club called Alejandro, where Alejandro loves her too much to have her stripping for money. So he tries to stop her, but she wont stop because she loves it. Hot, sexy, and nasty I love it.
Till then I can create a mock drag music video of Alejandro, for now I will have to settle for Gaga's vision.

June 19, 2010: Julia's/Le Feux
Last night was my best friends birthday and we went to Seattle to Julia's on capital hill. It was their 21st birthday and so the plan was to go out to eat and then go see a drag show cabaret Le Feux. The show was hosted by Shannel who was on RuPaul's Drag Race, but sadly she didn't win.
When my friends told me that Shannel was hosting. I couldn't believe my luck, I had almost seen her perform in Vegas. So I jumped at the chance told them how much it meant for me to see her live in person. So they said I could come and I was on cloud nine.
So last, we get to Julia's and we were dressed for a gay night. The birthday girls were lavished in rainbow beads, feather boas, and feathered tiaras. The funniest thing was that I was the only gay person in the birthday party, but everyone was in beads and glow-sticks bracelets. Well including me, plus I had a small feather tiara which made me look, well FABULOUS!!!.
We all had a wonderful time, drinking and laughing. Surprising the birthday girls weren't getting drunk right away, but I was. But then I was drinking an Electric Lemonade which is like a Long Island Ice Tea except more potent and blue. So I had some Calamari, Chicken Bacon Mac and Cheese, (fantastic). For desert I had a thick slice of chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream.
Hey, I know that's a lot of calories, but it was a big splurge.
Anyways, after many jokes about sex, penis, and everything dirty in between. Many exchanges of bites and sips of food and drinks shared between us, dinner was finished and we headed to the bar to wait to be seated for the drag show.
While at the bar, I hung out with my friends even had an interesting conversation with one cute looking girl. Hey I'm gay, but I still think some girls are cute. Anyways, we got to talking and she asked for my beads. I gave one to her and her friend. This is how she responded, no joke.
"Oh my god, I usually have to show my boobs to get beads. Once I even slept with a guy to get beads."
Now isn't that just messed up, but if the man was hot I could do the same thing.....no, I am too nice to do something that skanky.
So when we finally got our seats for Le Feux, I was so excited and chose to sit in the aisle seat so I could have a great view of the show.
The lights darken and the show begins and I am in my element.
The opening number was great but when Shannel comes out lip-syncing Mariah's 'We Belong Together' I was in heaven
OMG, She is soooooo hot, I couldn't help posting another picture of her.
Anyways, She brought up all the people who were celebrating something that night. My friends got up there, and Shannel made a couple of jokes and thought they reason they looked alike was because they were Lesbian's. It was classic.
After her she finishes talking to people who are celebrating, she introduces us to the wonderful world of Le Feux.
The show is your basic drag cabaret show with men dressed up as woman, dancing in heels with hot male backup dancers. This show had Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Madonna, Liza Minnelli, Beyonce, and a wonderful tribute to the ultra fabulous CHER!!!!!
The show was one gay extravaganza and I was loving every minute and with my seat, I got to see all the drag queens strut their stuff and had half-naked boys dancing near me. My friends told me that they enjoyed watching my eyes get all wide when every there was a hot guy standing next to me. I am so glad that I came with them and we all shared something so beautiful and special.
After the show, one of the birthday girls, gave me some cash to go get my picture with the stars of Le Feux. I don't have the picture right now, or I would have posted it, but on it I have the biggest smile on my face.
It was like Christmas all over for me, and for once I am glad I had special people to share it with.
I hope to take my friends and introduce them to the fabulous world of Le Feux on my birthday.

June 19, 2010: Margaret Cho
Last night I went and saw La Fuxe, a gay caberat show and the host Shannel did several bits from Margaret Cho which were funny. So I searched youtube and found several of the bits. I loved the comedy and now I am planing to watch Notorious C.H.O because I never really heard of Margaret Cho before last night.

June 17, 2010: 2010 Tony Awards Review (Part 1)
Well the 64th Annual Tony Awards was on this previous Sunday. Since I had to work that night, I was sad to have missed the show. But thanks to Youtube, I have been able to watch the show. Now I haven't watched the entire thing so far, so this is Part 1 of my review.
So to kick things off, a great big kudos goes to Sean Hayes to start off the show playing a medley of famous piano pieces. The man is so talented and then he kicks off the Broadway Musical Medley of the shows that are nominated and are running on Broadway. Amazing!
I loved this part the most because it gives you a sample of some of the productions and the songs. The best of the musical medley was Promise, Promise; Eternal Rapture; Come Fly With Me; La Cage Aux Folles; and Green Day's American Idiot.
Then there was a surprise mini concert of Green Day that was fun and entertaining, but I wanted to get to the opening monologue.
Sean Hayes opening monologue was so funny, but the best part of it was the surprise long graphic kiss between Kristen Chenowith and Sean Hayes. It almost was like the same kiss he did on Will & Grace with Karen Walker (Megan Mullally). It was so funny and yet so painful because Sean Hayes is gay.
Kudos to Scarlett Johansson for winning for Best Featured Actress In A Play. She gave a great acceptance speech which ran over two minutes. I was so happy to see her win.
TBC.....
